I work with organisations, charities and groups to deliver programmes that get more people cycling in the following ways:
- Community projects aimed to improve health, promote inclusion and tackle hardship.
- Progressive sessions that support riders into competitive cycling such as an event or racing.
- Skills clinics for competitive riders who want to fine-tune their skills.
As a qualified coach, I possess a Full DBS and have completed 16 hour First Aid, Mental Health First Aid and Safeguarding training.
I have recently completed the Duty to Care Knowledge Check which is set across five areas – Diversity, Inclusion, Mental Health, Safeguarding and Wellbeing. This demonstrates my commitment to delivering great coaching and placing athlete welfare as a top priority.
“Heidi has been a great asset to Access Sport’s Making Trax Programme by delivering our Outreach Programme to a large number of disadvantaged and disabled young people.
Heidi is a brilliant and reliable coach, and has the ability to adapt her coaching style to suit her audience, whether this is primary school, SEN school or pupil referral unit. She is great in engaging the students, increasing cycling confidence, increasing in BMX skill level and to encourage participants to step outside their comfort zone.”Lucy Fisher, Access Sport
